GERG

The European Gas Research Group (GERG) is a research networking and co-ordinating organisation based in Brussels. GERG and its members are working with the European energy community to develop innovative solutions that place our gas infrastructure at the heart of the energy system, now and into the future. The aim is to ensure that Europe's energy transformation will keep Europe competitive and energy secure, while providing the lowest cost road to a sustainable future. The Swedish Gas Technology Centre joined GERG in 2013 and is the only Swedish among the 28 members. 

The aims of SGC's membership are to
  • Push for GERG becoming a leading force for the necessary change for a green agenda of the European gas industry
  • Gather Swedish stakeholders interests in GERG
  • Initiate R&D projects for other GERG members to joing
  • This way placing Sweden on the map as an important player in the future world of green gas
